Terms of Service

These Terms form an agreement between you and Adomavicius Tadas for use of the Locelo website, subscription support, and mobile application (the “Service”). By using the Service or starting a trial, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. What Locelo provides

Locelo provides typed, voice, conversation, and camera-assisted translation features, supported-language selection, eligible history, and account controls. Availability depends on language, device, operating system, permissions, connectivity, and the selected plan.

Translations may contain errors or lose context. Locelo is not a certified interpreter and should not be the sole basis for medical, legal, emergency, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions. Use a qualified human translator when accuracy has serious consequences.

2. Authorized and responsible use

You may translate only content you are permitted to submit. You are responsible for obtaining consent before recording another person and for complying with privacy, copyright, recording, and communications laws.

You must not use Locelo to process unlawful content, impersonate others, harass people, violate intellectual-property rights, defeat access controls, or automate abusive use.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting your credentials, and notifying us about suspected unauthorized access. Backengine may act as the identity authority while the website maintains the information necessary for session and billing management.

4. Free and PRO plans

The Free plan includes a limited feature set. Locelo Pro provides the features presented on the plans page, subject to compatible hardware, reasonable technical limits, and future product updates.

A website trial is free for the period displayed before checkout. Unless you cancel before it ends, the trial becomes a recurring paid subscription at the exact price, currency, and interval shown before you confirm. Taxes may apply. There is no separate charge for starting the free trial.

5. Renewal, cancellation, and refunds

Website subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Use the public Cancel subscription page with the checkout email and the last four card digits. If the page cannot locate the subscription, contact support with the same safe billing hints and an approximate date. See the Cancellation Policy.

Website cancellation is processed immediately and stops future renewals; connected access may end as soon as cancellation is synchronized. Cancellation does not automatically reverse a charge already made. Refund eligibility depends on applicable law, the purchase channel, and the circumstances. App Store purchases are administered under Apple’s applicable rules.

6. Payments and access

Payment details are handled by the payment provider. We may receive status and transaction information needed to activate access, prevent duplicate trials, resolve failed payments, handle disputes, and maintain records. We may suspend PRO access when a payment fails, a subscription ends, or use violates these Terms.

7. Availability and changes

We may improve, replace, limit, or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, identical results across languages, or compatibility with every device and operating-system version. Material subscription changes will be communicated as required by law.

8. Third-party services

The Service may rely on app stores, payment providers, hosting, email, account infrastructure, analytics, and network services. Those services are governed by their own terms and may experience interruptions outside our control.

9. Intellectual property

Locelo, its design, software, content, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, scrape, circumvent access controls, or use the Service to build a competing product except where law expressly permits.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties not expressly stated here. You remain responsible for decisions, communications, and actions taken after reviewing a result.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss arising from an inaccurate translation, missing context, device incompatibility, third-party services, or service interruption. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Changes, governing law, and contact

We may update these Terms when the Service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. These Terms are governed by France, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
